Jack Cole died on July 11, 2022. He was a dedicated member and the chorus’ Treasurer for over 25 years. We all remember Jack as one of the most giving people we’ve ever known.

We’re 35 years old this year; help us make it to a golden 50th anniversary of serving our growing South Florida community. Led by our founding (and fabulously continuing!) director, Dr. Gary Keating, the Fort Lauderdale Gay Men’s Chorus began as the very first established gay arts organization in the state of Florida in 1986. We’ve gained respect and admiration from both gay and straight audiences as we have continued our nonprofit mission: in person, in theaters, in the communities we serve, and online. In 2021 we finally emerged from almost two years of COVID-19’s destroying our chances to sing & be together.
